Description: Community Works is proud to open two new exhibits on February 17th that explore the evolution and history of the Black Arts Movement in Harlem at the Dwyer Cultural Center, program home for Community Works and permanent home of its award-winning harlem is…series. The Dwyer will house harlem is…THEATER, celebrating the rich legacy of Harlem’s theater movement, and Weusi Revisited: 2010, featuring work by members of the Weusi Artist Collective, considered progenitors of the Black Arts Movement. The multimedia, interactive exhibits will celebrate and build upon Harlem’s rich tradition in both theater and art.
